  • FAFSA - The Free Application for Federal Student Aid

    Federal Student Aid, a part of the U.S. Department of Education, is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation and is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school.

    The South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission offers need-based tuition grants to qualified South Carolina residents who attend eligible South Carolina Independent Colleges on a full-time enrollment basis.  Find .

    The application used to determine eligibility for a South Carolina Tuition Grant is the Free Application For Student Aid ().  Applications are normally available beginning October 1 of the year prior to your college attendance, and the FAFSA must be completed for each year you are planning to attend college.  Currently, FAFSA will not be available until January 1, 2024. Apply as early as possible - the deadline for receipt of 2023-2024 applications (enrollment in Fall 2024 classes) is June 28, 2024.

  • South Carolina Lottery Tuition Assistance Program

    The South Carolina Lottery Tuition Assistance Program (LTAP) was established under the SC Education Lottery Act in 2001.  It was created to provide a supplemental resource to South Carolina residents attending eligible SC two-year public or independent institutions.   Actual award amounts are dependent upon the number of students eligible and the amount of funding available each academic year.
