The 4th grade team here at Millbrook is team teaches meaning that we specialize in specific content areas. My team consists of myself and Kelly Moulton, where I teach the subjects of reading and writing and she teaches math, science and social studies. 

We feel that this allows us to provide students with more rigorous and specialized instruction because we are able to educate and better our teaching on those specific subjects. This format also begins to prepare students for middle and high school schedules in a more gradual manner while also promoting and emphasizing independence and individual student growth.

My classroom also focuses on technology integration within our instruction and most of your student's assignments are completed online following our in-class instruction. This also allows you to check in at any point and view your student's assignments and work. This does cut down on the physical graded papers that will be sent home over the year as you have immediate access when assignments are completed through our various assignment platforms, like schoology, Readworks or Edmentum.
