SUMMER READING CHALLENGE - The JMS Summer Reading Challenge kicks off June 1, 2024! Students and staff members are challenged to read and log 20 minutes a day for 30 days through July 31st. Grades 6-8 can track minutes on the Beanstack app through Clever. Redcliffe 5th graders can track their minutes through ABBE's Beanstack app or by using the attached Reading Log and/or Bingo sheet. The Bingo sheet also includes activities. Students who complete the challenge will be invited to a party along with their parents and siblings. Our community goal is just 20,000 minutes! The more participants, the merrier! Prizes will be delivered to participating 9th graders and our new 6th graders in August. Let's read and win $100-$500 for our school library and the final Summer Reading Challenge Party! Our previous Spring goal surpassed 37,000 minutes. Our school was awarded a Reading Trailblazer Award for participation and $150 which was spent on reading incentives and a Hat Bar (personalization & embellishment) Party. Forms are due August 1st in the library media center. PDF Flyer and Forms
